From a young age I was intrigued with health and wellness after being influenced by my grandmother, a nurse of 40 years. I choose to approach health with a proactive mindset, focusing on better habits that will compound into a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Growing up I was a multi-sport athlete competing in basketball, football, track and baseball. I naturally gravitated toward team sports because I could use them as an outlet to release any feelings of frustration, stress or anxiety. Ultimately, year-round physical activity boosted my self-image and built my confidence to pursue other life endeavors.
After high school I moved from Stockton California to San Francisco, where I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology. Since graduating I have gained experience working with some of the best gyms in the San Francisco area and I am fortunate enough to receive mentorship from some of the top fitness professionals in America (in my humble opinion). My clientele has been a bit of everyone including men and women ages 8 to 80 years old, weekend warriors, professional athletes, diabetics, people living with hypertension/high blood pressure, along with pre and post natal mothers. Now I am focused on providing high quality coaching, and building long-lasting relationships with clients via my own private business PUSHNWEIGHTS.
Although losing body fat, building muscle mass, increasing strength and improving performance are all a byproduct of a well-executed fitness regimen, I like to view fitness as a mindset, not necessarily a goal or destination as these are often short-lived gratifications. Find your "why" behind your motivation and let the mindset take you down the path to achieve your boldest dreams in life. Most importantly, let's have fun doing it!
